Soaking Prayer
I am passionate about encouraging people to add "soaking prayer" to their pursuit of God.
Soaking prayer adds a new dimension to our relationship with the Father. It is not about talking to Him, but about listening, and experiencing Him. Soaking prayer is based on a belief system that God is supernatural and wishes to relate to His children in supernatural ways. Soaking prayer is about receiving supernatural impartation, revelation and visions.
Fear: Enemy of Our Faith
About ten years ago, God challenged me while I was praying for a family member. He said, "Wendy, you are not praying the prayer of faith, you are praying a prayer of fear." He began to show me that my "problem was not the problem", my fear was the bigger issue. He revealed to me that I could not defeat anything as long as I prayed from under a spirit of fear.
Trusting People
Trust is sometimes a hard thing for people (perhaps because they don't understand what it means to trust someone). It doesn't mean I trust you to never hurt me or fail me; but it means that when you hurt me or fail me, I will trust that you love me despite the imperfections and weaknesses that I see. I will trust in your motives, I will trust that you are trying to improve and grow in areas. I will trust that you are sorry for hurting me.
Your Source of Power
Eph. 3:20 "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,"
We know that God Himself is our source, but we must remember that His power works according to our ability to release Him through our lives.
One of the ways we limit His power working through us is our thought life.
Condemnation: Enemy of Our Faith
"Sin has been preached to us so long and we have been told so often that we are unworthy and unfit, that it has kept us with a sense of inferiority which has been destructive to a life of faith," said E. W. Kenyon.
Much of my Christian life was spent powerless and faithless because I could not understand that condemnation was affecting my identity. Our identity is crucial for a walk of faith. "For as a man thinks in his heart so is he." (Proverbs 23:7)
Breaking Into Your Destiny
Break the Cycle and Break into your Destiny!
We are human "beings" not human "doings". Too often people get their identity from what they do rather than who they are. When you begin that kind of thinking a cycle begins of judging yourself by the bad choices you make. And the more we consider ourselves as bad the more our actions will conform to the image we carry of ourselves. Proverbs 23:7 says that as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
